Scott Waddle
Scott is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served for 20 years in the submarine force, serving aboard Atlantic Fleet Trident Ballistic Missile boats Alabama and Kentucky and Pacific Fleet fast attacks San Francisco and Greeneville. In 1999 Scott became the Commanding Officer of the USS Greeneville in Pearl Harbor. In October of 2001 he was honorably discharged from the Navy and retired from active duty as a Commander. Scott is currently employed by a global power systems company as a project manager.
Dan Clark
Dan 's views and teachings on governance and strategic planning were honed by his experiences as a regulator, board member, consultant, and credit union president and CEO. He offers a balanced approach that helps credit unions build on their successes through visioning, strategic planning, and sound governance. The Clark Governance Model is a blueprint for credit union success. Dan has also authored two of the original Volunteer Achievement Program modules from the Credit Union National Association.

Melanie J. Hass
Melanie Haas, sales manager lending protection for CUNA Mutual Group, has 14 years of experience in the credit union industry. She currently works with credit unions in Virginia, DC, North Carolina, and South Carolina. She spent the prior three years as a lending protection manager where she worked closely with credit union lenders and branch managers in Iowa to boost sales of CUNA Mutual Group's payment protection products. Earlier in her career, Melanie was a branch manager for Community Plus Credit Union in Manchester, Iowa and president and CEO of Heritage Credit Union in Waterloo, Iowa.
Joni Lovingood
Joni is a senior risk management specialist for CUNA Mutual Group's credit union protection risk management department. In her position, Joni is responsible for assisting credit unions in identifying areas of risk in their operations and recommending appropriate controls to reduce exposures to loss. In addition, she educates and trains credit union staff and organizations in all areas of fraud prevention and risk management.
Daniel Mica
Daniel Mica is president and CEO of Credit Union National Association, the leading trade association representing the nation's 9,000 credit unions and credit union leagues in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Mica assumed his duties at CUNA in July 1996, a time of major internal and external challenge for the association. CUNA now consistently ranks high on Fortune magazine's annual list of "powerhouse" Washington lobbying organizations, and Mica was named by The Hill newspaper as one of the most influential former members of Congress who have since become lobbyists.
A five-term member of Congress, Mica represented his home state in Florida from 1979 to 1989 in the U.S. House of Representatives. After leaving Capitol Hill, Mica joined the American Council of Life Insurance in Washington, D.C., as executive vice president overseeing the federal affairs division. He was with ACLI, the life insurance industry's leading trade group, from 1989 to 1996.
Jeff Rendel
Jeff is president of Rising Above Enterprises, and offers a wealth of knowledge from his experience in the financial services marketplace. In his current position, he works with associations and professionals who want greater professional growth, as well as financial services providers who want deeper market penetration. His mission is to develop excellent leaders – in life, on the job, for your members, and for your credit union. Jeff has held such positions as federal regulator, financial executive, and congressional lobbyist.
